{New Collection} Fall Festival Collection

Happy Fall Everyone!!!!!

Well it is 100 degrees where I live, but I am looking forward to my favorite season…. FALL!!!!  I love the colors, textures, smells, and food of fall.

Friday Recipe: Slow Cooker Barbecue Chicken

I just love good slow cooker recipes, especially on the weekend.  I used to think of slow cookers as winter appliances, but they are great to use in the summer also.  A slow cooker does not really heat up the kitchen like an oven and who doesn’t love a great barbecue sandwich in the summer 🙂

One of my family’s favorite recipes is Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue found on allrecipes.com (one of my favorite places to find great recipes!).


6 frozen boneless, skinless chicken breast halves

1 (12 ounce) barbecue sauce

1/2 cup Zesty Italian Salad Dressing

1/4 cup brown sugar

2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce


1.  Place chicken in a slow cooker.  In a bow, mix the barbecue sauce, Italian salad dressing,

     brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce .  Pour over the chicken.

2.  Cover and cook 3 to 4 hours on High or 6 to 8 hours on Low.

I take the chicken out and shred with a fork, then spoon some of the sauce over the shredded chicken.

That is it! 

Serving options:

1.  Serve over sandwich rolls with chips and fruit.

2.  Serve with fresh green beans, corn on the cob, and big fluffy biscuits.
